Since i can remember myself i wanted to go to India one day… And in the year 2000, when everything was expected to be different than it used to be, it was the time to change my life and that is the beginning of my Indian Love Story…
I grew up in Switzerland in a spiritual and artistic family. I did my studies and worked as a teacher for a few years… until the desire to travel to India would grow so much that i eventually left “everything” behind and started the exciting life of a traveller…
On the way to Goa (in the night bus from Auroville) i had this strange feeling of coming hOMe… and as it is said “Your home is where is your heart!”, i found my heart, my love and a new home…
In GOA, i felt as in a world out of this world, on another planet, on an island… where i could just be myself! I’ve learned to live in the here and now, focusing on the bright side of life, deeply enjoying every moment and celebrating it excessivly… togehter with plenty of unique, funny and colorful people. And magic started happening…!!!
Goa was fascinating me in many ways, it was my dream come true, my paradise, and i felt o soo free and able to do whatever i wanted to do and to become whoever i wanted to be!… I felt an intense Creative Energy in the air, was surrounded by colorful, shiny and happy people and i just wanted to stay forever and make my heARTwork…
In my first Goa years i often had the feeling to be in a “cartoon” with many truly unique and funny characters. My artist life actually started on Goas Dancefloors, where i got inspired by the play of Sound, Color and Movement wishing to catch some of this moments and express them…
… and when the Symbols would magically come together…
The Spiral, the Heart and the Star would not only form the word GOA but the symbols would reveal a Message… that became my Mantra:
LIVE WITH OPEN HEART AND FREE MIND...
and as i did so eventually i would feel
SIMPLY HAPPY!!!
GOA cARToon was born and the dancing light bear became the symbol and spiritual guide of my artistic expressions. Shomer is in our earthly reality a Teddy bear and since the very beginning part of our family. He manifested himself on my papers while revealing his story (but that’s another story that i hope to be able to share with you soon).
During the last 20 years i was moving forth and back, but spending most of the time in Goa where i found my tribe and where i could freely live out my creativity! I am excited to present you here some of my heART work which is dedicated with deep gratitude to my favorite place in this world and to the wonderful Goa people.… and even when i am not there physically, my heART is and my mind always stays in in the Goa state of mind!
